So, I got a root canal the other day (I know. Fun times right?) Arg, not!
Note, that I've never been in this area on L.I. before. When the nasty deed was done I stepped outside. I then crookedly smiled n' said, "I have to make a phone call!"

Mel, it's an English Style Pub Restaurant. Open 7 days. Late morning the doors open then close in the wee hours of 3 and 4am. "Last Call!" I dreaded those words when I was young. So, 5 mins before the calling hour I would sing out, "Bartender Let's Have Another!" And, I'd have another

You're right, the entrance is unique,...Curb appeal counts! I poked my nose in the door, and it's just as cool inside. Relaxed atmosphere, casual dining, with a big bar offering 99 craft beers from around the world (22 on tap). Of course they serve mixed drinks, and wine too. Menus run day, night and late night with lots to choose from.

I will return one day for dinner and drinks. Then, "Phone Home" Cheers!

Well, we all get old. It is a sad fact, so enjoy the reruns and remember the good times. It is interesting that Felicity Kendal was born about 2 weeks after I was. Of course, she was born across the pond, but distance is shorter these days than then, so who would care now.
Some of the British humor is great...and some of it is a bit beyond me. Maybe it's the slang. Benny Hill didn't seem to have that problem. :-)

Salute indeed! A sad time in music history for an entire generation. . .thank God my Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "Live" cassette still works.

Now David Cassidy is on the critical list and AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young has just left the room.

Got to live in the "Now". No going back. . .no rewind in life. . .no pause. . .maybe a fast forward. . .definitely a stop.

Benny Hill was excellent but it was Lowest Common Denominator humour. As such it would do well in the USA who haven’t progressed past popping in a fart joke somewhere. Or everywhere and anywhere if possible.
