$12500 in Bangkok. I saw one on the street yesterday. Looks awesome, a little too high for my liking though. Look like a very nice all around scoot.
Everything looks better from the inside of a motorcycle helmet...

I've seen one in Aberdeen, the guy who rides it used to have a Vultus, he has seriously odd tastes in bikes

Re: Honda X-ADV
I have two comments on the X-ADV.
1. Why couldn't they have put a 17" rear tire on like they did to the front? I think it would have looked more balanced that way.
2. A DCT transmission plus a chain drive equate to a motorcycle to me, not a scooter. Since it does have paddle shifters there isn't much more than the plastics that make it a scooter.

Re: Honda X-ADV
The only thing that makes it a scooter is the blurb from the marketing department.
ALL the NC engined machines are motorcycles.

Re: Honda X-ADV
I thought it was just me who thought it was a motorcycle and not a scooter.
Personally I think it is ugly - especially with a smaller wheel at the back and that ridiculous space above it!

The self same marketing department label the Integra as a scooter too.gn2 wrote:The only thing that makes it a scooter is the blurb from the marketing department.

Re: Honda X-ADV
Yes, the NC700/750D is absolutely NOT a scooter.lillypinkjenny wrote:The self same marketing department label the Integra as a scooter too.gn2 wrote:The only thing that makes it a scooter is the blurb from the marketing department.

Honda have different criteria for deciding, obviously.gn2 wrote:Yes, the NC700/750D is absolutely NOT a scooter.lillypinkjenny wrote:The self same marketing department label the Integra as a scooter too.gn2 wrote:The only thing that makes it a scooter is the blurb from the marketing department.

Re: Honda X-ADV
...So when you see a NC750D beside a X-ADV you are suppose to choose between a "scooter" with gears or a motorcycle with the same gears and the same engine, but the scooter has a smaller rear wheel and a cramped riding position? Hmmm...hard choice.

18 of them for sale on Biketrader across the UK. Mostly pre-registered 2017 models.

Re: Honda X-ADV
18 ?? Many pre-registered? That must say something about them. Yes, some of them have only a mile or two on them, but there are others with hundreds of miles on them. Dealer demos?? Disillusioned customers who bought them and regretted it?
Looks like the price ranges from £8400 to £9600. That is still a lot of money for a scooter, big engine or not. Looking at it from a practical viewpoint, which would be better for commuting, a X-ADV or a Silverwing? Assuming that the "ADV" means it can be used for off roading, would you want to take it off-road and not be able to stand up when crossing a stream? I am just trying to figure out the practicality of it.

Re: Honda X-ADV
No idea but it's more than I expected to see.
Re: Honda X-ADV
It''l likely be dealers trying to shift ex-demonstrators which they will probably have been forced to take into stock by Honda UK and pre-registered models and adverts for new ones with price cuts...

Yup, that accounts for 17 out of the 18!gn2 wrote:It''l likely be dealers trying to shift ex-demonstrators which they will probably have been forced to take into stock by Honda UK and pre-registered models and adverts for new ones with price cuts...

There are accessory footpegs available for it so you can stand up when off road, however they are expensive.Mel46 wrote:18 ?? Many pre-registered? That must say something about them. Good grief, don't even try!Mel46 wrote: I am just trying to figure out the practicality of it.

We have a (rather high mileage) GSXR1000 in the garage. It doesn't reach the sweet spot for power until it is 20 mph over the National Speed Limit ... in FIRST!!!!

People will buy them because they like them, and because it's a Honda ... or they won't. Practicality is way down the list.
