I have a dual-ball mount on my Honda Fury master brake housing and can mount a cell phone (for GPS) and camera. As others have said the handlebars aren't a great mounting point due to vibration, you're better off putting it on your body.

(Mentioned because someone said bigger bikes have more vibration damping, and while this does, it's still problematic over 25 MPH.)

this is my mount i use a crocodile clip accessory its very stiff to open but stays in position ok,
very quick easy to put on take off.
cost a few £ pounds off a popular bid / buy site. just put some fabric / underlay in the clip to stop it scratching the screen.

This link just popped up on my Facebook feed, and I thought about you folks. This little cam corder looks like the GoPro, and from what I have read it does what the GoPro can do, but it is 1/5 the cost and comes with a bunch of accessories. For a limited time they are running some kind of Black Friday type of sale too! If I were still taking videos of my riding experiences I would get one.

I have one, and it's true that they do everything that a GoPro does, except cost an arm and leg. I love mine, but have only used it on my kayak and mt. bike.

Hi, I purchased a SJ cam which is a cheap version of a go Pro in the UK for £30 18 months ago and it works fine on the handlebars of my PCX I cut a hole in the side for a permanent charge lead, so why are Go Pro's so expensive ?.

By the way, I saw some 128gb micro SD cards on sale and wondered what devices can read and write to them. I haven't seen any beyond 64gb.

Yes Mel, the one I have mounted there is an ION Air Pro. I think this one is about 35.00.. I did a video recently if you look on the picture gallery site and look for To the store .. It will give you an idea of its capabilities. I am working on a solution for wind noise, but they say the air pro II has an input for an external mic and you can silence the wind with that connection in place. Look on Amazon you will find it ..

I have always wondered how comfortable a 'vette is, considering how low they sit. I had a friend once who had one, but I never had the desire to ride with him. Now that I am old I doubt that I could get into one, and if I did my back would protest greatly. Still, it looks very sporty.

The older vettes rode like you were sitting on bricks.. The newer c-5 and up use carbon fiber suspension system in a unique design that eliminates a harsh rid. They ride smooth and comfortable and still can take the corners as if you were on rails.. On the highway its a real cruiser and comfortable. Getting in and out can be difficult for some and that is a given. Once you get the knack of it , its not that bad. You do have to open the door wide to make it easy consequently tight door to door parking lots sometimes can make it challenging

I have several Dash cams but I'm not sure how good they would be on a bike, especially the PCX. I have places on the bike for accessory devices, but I don't see how it could work there with so much vibration. I have some small vibration dampeners that I purchased once upon a time, but I don't know how they are going to help when I would be putting them on a 'vibration tester' .

Mel, I tried putting a ThinkWare dashcam on a Slingshot, kept triggering the collision alert. Tried a GoPro on the Fury handlebar, too much vibration over 35.

It might work on a PCX though, as they're really smooth. I use all aluminum pieces from RAM since they are more solid than the high-density plastic and the camera wiggles less (with the aluminum). I am looking at making a mounting plate suspended in 3-D like on a "drone" (multi-rotor copter with a camera mount), that should work reasonably well.

Regarding the comfort of any light-bodied car, it depends on how far apart the tires are and what suspension it's running. A Slingshot that handles like a shopping cart can be set up to run quite smoothly with some under-body air dams, racing suspension, and a wheel alignment.
