PCX150 shocks

I know that there are many topics and posts about replacing the rear shocks on the PCX150 but, after having ploughed through most of them, I have been unable to see much consensus or advice as to what would be the best ones to get, and from where.

I just want something better on my 2013 and my wife's 2016.

Any advice and locations as to where to get the best ones would be much appreciated.

(When I say 'best' ones I don't necessarily meant the most expensive - we have a budget, after all. )

You will never get an answer on this because you’re asking us to summarize all the posts. It depends on what you want to spend. If you want to spend big money get the kind that have the reservoir. If you want to spend a reasonable $ get something like the YSS- Z series which are about 120 bucks. They are available at Bikerzbitz.com and power by PCX.com. Obviously for heavier/dual riders that are going long distance, the reservoir type work better. I have the Z series and after two years and still very satisfied @ 240 pounds.

If you want decent shocks but don't want to spent a lot of money get the YSS-Z shocks. If you want the best or close to it, be prepared to spend $600. So, whatever you want will depend on what you are willing to spend.

I see on the Bikerbitz site that there is an XL and an XXL - I searched everywhere and cannot find what the difference is - you smart guys got an answer? Would be much appreciated.

Here is a quote from one of our threads that was discussing the YSS shocks:

The XXL shocks are for fat asses like me, 200 pounds +/-
XL are for lighter riders.
Actual size is the same.

(I don't recall who wrote it. It isn't mine :-)
