Some black ice on the outbound ride (under highway overpass, shaded narrows, library exit!! , etc., was ready for it) but a glorious day after that. Weather going non-riding for 10 days afterwards - so, today was a go!
Didn't forget the side stand this time!
It's been damn cold where I live. I almost took my 49cc Roughhouse out today but knew it was not a good idea although the roads were clear. The wind had been an issue lately. I'm not sure if it's Global Warming effects or what but I don't remember it being windy quite so often in my area as a kid growing up. That being said today's wind was not that much but it was just plain cold.
As soon as things get better around here I'll be sending some ride pics here as well. In the mean time keep them coming. We in the cold areas long for the warm weather and riding season. You keep give us hope!
Weather in the Winter is strange. It can be a nice day, and then, by the time you have changed so that you can go riding, it starts to rain, or the wind picks up. That is why our bikes will stay in storage until Spring.
Right now it just looks overcast outside. I checked the weather app, and wouldn't you know it, rain will be rolling in shortly.

Well I wouldn't call what I just got back from glorious, but any ride in January in New England is something. Temp was a bit above 50 F, but the wind was 15 mph with gusts to 25. Lots of sand in the middle of the smaller roads, and a fair bit of melting from the remaining grungy snow lumps. Still - the sun was out and so were we!
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!
