I fitted one a couple of weeks ago. Pretty easy to fit. It rumples a bit in front of you so water does pool on it when it rains heavily, but I've not got wet yet.

Temperature-wise, it is nice and warm. There are little drafts coming in, but nothing irritating. The one part that could be done better (though I don't have a solution) is the access flap to the ignition. This is held down by a piece of elastic cord, but it because it's built into a piece of fabric is doesn't seal when it closes, so air gets in.

It's much easier than having to put waterproof overtrousers on and mess about at your destination. There's a handy seat cover as well which you pull over the seat when parked up to keep it dry.

After a couple of months of using this I'm finding that there's more of a draft. I did 20 motorway miles in torrential rain last week and the front of my jeans from knee to shoe were pretty wet.

So to answer your question, I'm not sure how to get a better seal. The gap seems to be coming from the front edges either side, where the blanket meets the leg guards. I don't want to tighten things too much as I'm worried about snapping the plastic fixings.

I'm getting the same draft from that same spot, no very pleasing. I was planning to use the leg cover for those rainy days, but it doesn't look like it would very effectively. The straps that attach to the inside of the mud guard don't seem to be doing their job. It seems to me that they scoop the air, instead of blocking it. I was thinking of adding some foam tape, the type that's used to seal insulation gaps in home walls/windows. Although, it seems that those straps don't have the right anchor point to properly tension the the leg apron. We could drill into the mud guard to have a better anchor point.
