I have been using a Lithium Iron Battery on my Chinese scooter for years and was wondering if it will also suffice on the PCX as it is much lighter and have never had a problem with it. Just not sure with the Honda as it uses fuel injection and fuel pump and don't want to risk burning anything out. Plus I could hook up my battery tender quick connect.
Thanks for your input!

Lithium Iron Battery

Re: Lithium Iron Battery
Stick with the standard battery till it expires.
Why replace a perfectly serviceable component to shave half a pound or so off an already light scooter...?
Far better to lay off the pies for a while

Re: Lithium Iron Battery
well, I was going to put the battery in my other scooter that I'm selling and swap it with the lithium, as the lithium being a more expensive battery.

Re: Lithium Iron Battery
So to recap, you want to keep a battery you've been using for years and get rid of a brand new one?
Seems odd to me.

Re: Lithium Iron Battery
I'm just wanting to know if I CAN put this battery in the PCX without any problems. I said I've been using one for years not necessarily the same one.

Re: Lithium Iron Battery
Yes, it will work, but for a scooter that is going around town, it’s not necessary. The pcx batt is so cheap from AMZN, I replace every two years whether it needs it or not. The old batt goes on my workbench to give me 12v for projects.

I would keep the lithium, those things last forever.
