Office-friendly riding footware

I started commuting to work with my new scooter. It's mostly a city ride and I enjoy it a lot.
At the moment I am wearing my regular ankle boots but I am aware that they don't offer enough protection.
I am looking for protective ankle boots with zipper that don't look like the racing boots or cowboy boots but rather like smart office shoes. I hate shoe strings. I've Googled a lot but can't find anything to my liking.
I wonder what you guys wear when commuting to the office? Can you recommend some links?
I park my scooter in the office garage, store my helmet, gloves, neck warmer under the seat so I enter the office as if I drove by car and I would like to avoid having to change my shoes in the office. I rather talk weather, politics, last night's show then listening to the same biking comments and questions every morning in the elevator.
Any suggestions from your own experience?

I either wear high top riding shoes that I can remove once I am at my destination, and then slip on some loafers, or I wear slip on boots. Either one works well.

If you don't want to tie them, get some of those elastic shoe laces. Then they will become slip-on boots.

These are advertised as motorcycle boots but no details are given about the protective reinforcement so I will have to check on that.
This type of shoes go nicely with formal clothing. During the summer, office A/C is always set too low so I don't expect to get too hot feet.
Next I will be looking for protective gloves that look like the regular gloves too.

One thing I love about riding auto scooters is that my choice of footwear isn't restricted to ones I can change gear and use a footbrake in.

Currently revisiting New Rocks I hadn't worn since 2009.

Perhaps a tad off topic though. Him indoors has a pair of Trickers that look very smart but are also extremely protective.

Yeah, they look great with riding jeans, regular jeans or smart trousers. Real quality leather too.

I buy Clarks Goretex boots when they have a sale on. Much cheaper than bike-specific boots, the urban versions of which offer little if any protection over normal boots.

Thank you, but no, I'm not.

It was merely a photographer who specialises in making people look their best, and 9 years ago. A one-off vanity photo-shoot for me, alone.

Things have changed so much I think of it as a wholly different life then.



(The boots were mine, though, and I do have a pair of similar ones now.)

Whether it's of any interest, the Jenny in my profile name refers to Jenny Tinmouth, which is what some old work colleagues named me after I started riding motorbikes. (She is the fastest female to lap the Isle of Man TT course and a phenomenal racer.)

The Lilly Pink also refers to another nickname, loosely based on ... erm... an adult performer ... purely because we both had the same shade of blonde hair at the time.

My birth name was not related to either of these nicknames.

I met my husband through an online motorbike forum, where everyone referred to me as Lilly. Hence, we started out as online acquaintances, then real-life acquaintances, friends, then .... well use your imagination, but he always called me Lilly, not my birth name.

When we married I changed my name to include Lilly as one of my first names.

On here, being called Jenny is cool though.
