Naked-Tail Street Fighter PCX150, Love it? Hate It?
Anyone that has disassembled their bodywork would know that underneath the tail plastics of the 2015+ PCX150 there is a BEAUTIFUL black powdercoated OEM seat frame that accentuates the curves that a naked version of the PCX might have had. And while I discovered it a few years ago I never had the courage to put my PCX under the knife again to figure out how to really make it happen
So over the last 2 years I fought to keep the OEM plastics in wonderful condition save for a few scrapes here and there. And well, then they released the 2019 and I figured I'm fighting a losing battle and It's time to let go and try something NEW!
So this all started with doing a regular service, oil, coolant, thermostat, drive belt, filter, etc and one thing led to the other. What should have been fairly routine ended up in 100 bucks of service consumables and another 50 bucks in custom LEDs, tail lights and about 2 days of custom wiring, brackets and wire-tucking.
And so, without further ado, I present my naked-tail PCX streetfighter below. Custom work includes the following:
*Rerouting all wiring harnesses and lock wire through cargo box
*wiring a universal brake light and LED turn signals into existing harness (really tricky)
*shaving all mounting brackets on right-side frame
*Mounting SMD LED turn signals
*Next Step: Cover gas tank area to hide existing wiring
I'd love to hear what you think, hate it? Love it? I personally feel like it just makes it look SO aggressive and sporty.

Love to see someone push the boundaries in their own personal passion.
Stuff the nay-sayers and go for it. So long as it doesn't offend or hurt anyone and you learn something from it you've done yourself proud and pleased a few of us curious onlookers. Heck, we may even learn something from the whole experiment!
Beers!

I think the best nakked looking PCX would come from transplanting a PCX enine to a ruckus.

Can we have a “unable to comment on what it looks like until we can see it option”.

Re: Naked-Tail Street Fighter PCX150, Love it? Hate It?
1) How can I tell if I like the way it looks if I can't find anything to look at? No pic at all?
2) I think if you want a naked bike you might be better served to get one that has been designed to go naked. The PCX is dressed for several reasons that I can think of: 1) To protect its delicate innards and 2) To give it an aerodynamic profile as it battles the headwinds.
But, this is all speculation on my part. You will have to try it to find out just how full or not of shit I really I am. I already know and so I speak diffidently.
