valve adjustment feeler gauges

What the correct size of feeler gauges. .009 is exhaust and 0.004 is for intake. BUT if you read .009 feeler gauge is not .24 its .229 so im confused.

Took me a minute. .009in is .229mm, but some of the posted specs say .24mm for the exhaust side.

I'm going to wildly guess that .24 is a common size for metric only sets and .229 isn't? I don't know if that's the answer, but a range of .008 -.010 converts to .20-.25 so you're probably fine either way and that's why you have a range that's all considered ok.

Well done! The spec says + / - .001 is within tolerance anyway.

I used .010 rode over 150 miles. So it should be fine.
