Best British import since muffins

Well, guess what Lilly just added to the Tesco shopping list.

These are great, but very different to the 'English muffins' that McDonalds do.

What exactly do you Americans expect when you order and 'English muffin'?

They were great yes, but I swear I could feel my waistline expanding whilst eating one!

I've never tried McD's English muffins. Do they sell them in UK McD's?

Well...Once Upon a Time I enjoyed Thomas' English Muffins with all it's "nooks & crannies"

Then whilst shopping one day I discovered another brand: "Bays English Muffins"
Since then I've been butterin' them up. Soo much better tastin'

Try one toasted with tuna salad. Melt on some yellow cheese (american, cheddar.....yer choice) place sweet pickle slices and Fritos (original) or Dipsy Doodles (original) on the side.

I had to look up Fritos and Dipsy's. But I still can't get over tuna and pickles with a muffin. My childhood destroyed!

No no no! Not eating any of that shown above! I saw the videos. I saw their faces! They were twisted and seemed to scream...."ICK!"

But....
I'll add that
Growing up our Austrian Grandmother made us Lekvar Prune Butter Cookies, Strudel, and Lekvar French Toast Sandwiches. All may sound a bit unappealing but actually they were all Delicious.
But....looking at it? In the jar? As a child? Ewww....Not so appealing.
Then we did the nose clipped taste test Surprise! Yummy!!

How to make:
Mix an egg or two with milk. Quickly dunk 2 slices of white bread in the egg/milk mixture, shake off all excess. Carefully place the Lekvar prune butter on one slice, then Cover it with the other. Voila!
A sandwich is born! Now place yer sandwich in a hot buttered frying pan (Not in burnt butter) and sizzle her up to your color choice. I like mine with crispy burnt edges Remove from pan. Slice sandwich on an angle or in four. Dust with some confectionary sugar and Serve. Enjoy!
