Time for new Brake Pads?

Post by GeorgeSK »

I have 12000 miles in the five seasons of riding on the '13 PCX. I went for my inspection, but failed because I need a new tire. That will happen at the dealer on Thursday. It will cost me about $20 more than if I take the wheel off myself and bring it in - not worth it to me.

My question is whether it is wise to change out the brake pads while they are accessible. The pic shows the wear line, but since I didn't take a pic when new I don't know if I am a few months or a few seasons from needing new pads.

Any opinions (like I really need to ask...)?
