Probably! I was thinking I might go "back to the future" with the
new 2019 Super Cub 125 because it was my first scoot (1980, 70cc, 3-spd semi-auto, 16" wheels, 40-45mph max, front/rear racks, 2-person seat). I'm nostalgic for the styling and fantastic ride of the large diameter 17" wheels. But, realistically, there are a few things that I'd have to give up:
1) top speed - only 55 mph, won't keep up with traffic on connecting roads
2) limited range - 1 gallon tank, constant refilling
3) non-existent storage
4) no racks and/or mounts for installing a top box
5) single seat
Add in the things I didn't like when I owned my earlier model (constant need to lube the drive chain and sprockets
inside the chain case, possible shared sump (as on original) for engine and transmission, weak suspension, weak lighting), and I know I wouldn't be happy.
And yes, I know the suspension and lighting would be updated in the new model.

If you have never taken a PCX apart it could be a challenge, especially with a broken hand.
Yeah, I was thinking the same (about the frame). I've taken it apart far enough to check the valves, add the Honda tall windscreen, and wire in the Shad auxiliary brake light, so I think I've had just about every panel off the bike at one time or another? But as you say, now with a broken hand ....

Don't waste your time, effort and money rebuilding.
A rebuilt write off will be near impossible to sell on later.
Its scrap now, it will be still be scrap but with new parts on after a rebuild.
I've been thinking about this side of the coin, too. When I was younger I viewed my time as less valuable. Now, however....

Add in the "salvage" title and, overall, it may not be worth my time and labor in the long run. I'll know better once I get the payout amount.
