Brand new uk pcx 125

Post by cnikonpete »

Can't make my mind up re old or new style, price difference at the moment £200,I think the new front end is a bit OTT,but the supposed improvements to power, tank capacity etc is causing confusion. If anyone has ridden both can you say whether you noticed any difference in performance?

New one has ABS, so its the clear winner.

I’ve misunderstood - I thought you had already purchased the 2019 model.

I know you’ll be planning to keep the PCX for the long-term foreseeable future but if there’s just £200 difference and the new model has the ABS then I would think that £200 will be reaped over and over.

Good luck with making your decision.

I have ridden both. The new model feels a lot better, it like higher speeds a bit better and can also stop a lot nicer.

Thanks everyone , that's made my mind up. I think!!!! I will be keeping the bike for the forseeable future. Just got to decide on colour, red or white. Little details I noticed were the pillion pegs on the new one are of lesser quality, but the bolts on the handlebar are topped off with chrome covers on the latest model, just bolt heads on the older one.

Now need to work out how to get it through narrow back garden gate, and will be good to go.

I will be going for the latest model, thanks again for advice

When you say new, you're talking about the 19' ?
The one you're sat on is the 18'. The 19' has different wheels.

Good catch k2, the wheels seen above are the older model.
Welcome aboard cnikonpete :) Which year PCX shall it be, the one we see you sitting on or the newest model?
I'm excited for you either choice, but I'd go Newest Model.

The longer service interval for the 2019 model is also a bonus.

Keeping to your first choice of Red?

I can see why I have confused everyone, the dealers had both,I sat on the older one, they only have red in the 2017 model.

They only have black or white in the 2018/19 model, not sure, really like the red but the white is more visible to other road users.

I think dealers only get an allocation, going to check if I can order the colour of my choice, apparently the next delivery may be more expensive.

I want to take delivery in August preferably, exciting times ahead.

Standard salesman ploy to encourage you to commit to the purchase now.
He hasn't a scooby what the price will be going forward.

Getting through your garden gate should not be too difficult. Just watch the mirrors and take your time. I take my 2013 models through our gate all the time. Measure, then eyeball it, and then angle the bike as needed to get through. Move the mirrors in only if you need to, but know that they are easy enough to adjust back out. Do it enough times and it will become second nature.

Always exciting to hear about someone getting a new PCX!

Have good times on it and you'll appreciate that vast amount of under seat stowage capacity. . .not to mention the outstanding fuel economy. 8)
