I took out the whole hump and reinforced the bottom of the seat with some light aluminum flat bar and pop rivets.
It's now going to the (pronounced Ghee) guy. He did a great job modding my old bike seat. Only a few blocks from me. This week??

This week? OK, it's gone to the seat shop now. (6 weeks later).
Not a big deal since I'm barred (by doctor) from riding for a few more weeks.
I'll have time to order and install the 'Knight Riderz' brake light on my top box.
Hope it's bright enough to get 'texters' attention in broad daylight.

I'm not sure an aft-facing flamethrower will necessarily get a texter's attention.

Interesting.

Standard move for the American (or Canadian) PCX owner is to remove the bolt-on butt-stop hump.

Sitting RIGHT OVER the holes it bolts on...is a good spot for an average full-grown male. Puts your feet in a sort of highway-peg position, too. Aside from the no-padding, not too bad comfort-wise.

I see those aftermarket seats on the Web...but they're Asian manufactured; and I wonder if they're sized, also, for Asians.

The seat is all done. I wish I would have measured before this project was
started but I now have about 31 in. from center of steering post to 'bump'.

Hi NADman, what thickness is the aluminum you installed? I finally need to cut more out of the humps. Originally I just removed the highest parts and I installed a cheeky seat cover. Time to finish them off

1/8" X 1". Cdn. Tire has 3-4 ft hunks.
Check the rest of the seat build with Pics.
Search this forum for "Takegawa shocks-280MM"
I put it under the wrong category and don't know how to have it moved to 'Humpectomy'.
