I can't wait to see some fuel economy numbers! Really like the aesthetic updates as well.Pistol660 wrote:Honda have announced in Japan today that a new pcx hybrid will go on sale in September. Get on Google people!

Re: Pcx hybrid
I saw one with self stability. The person was standing straight up on it, it self-adjusted to stay level and it also followed him around as he walked.
Technology IMHO is getting out of control but I guess this is progress; maybe I am just too old-school which is kind of ironic since I am in IT.

Pcx hybrid
Neat idea. The U.S. MSRP might be a bit prohibitive if it comes stateside. Love to try out the electric.

Re: Pcx hybrid
As a former hybrid owner I am concerned about how this will add weight needing a battery to become a hybrid.
Also quite frankly I like the idea of it being as is; a fuel support vehicle.

Re: Pcx hybrid
Ivy, I think the battery weight would be minimal for such a light vehicle. My replacement li-ion battery weighs almost nothing, but it's not a massive series of cells. Plus the electric version has two modest sized pull out and take with you cells.

That would be like carrying a jerry can. Plus you now have 3 batteries to recharge.ScottDR wrote:Ivy, I think the battery weight would be minimal for such a light vehicle. I'm already running out of USB ports.

Re: Pcx hybrid
You can always get more USB ports. However, your battery might not like them.
Interesting concept, taking yourbatteries inside at night. What thief would want a hybrid bike with no batteries? :-)

Re: Pcx hybrid
I regret that I lack the math skills to calculate the time required to charge the Hybrid's cells @ 2 amps
