Hi Medicpcx
Just a thought, what are you doing about servicing? I've always looked after all my bikes myself, the dreaded 600 mile service seems to create a lot of different opinions regarding checking the valves.
Just had a read through Honda's £375 service plan, and it states that valves will be checked, but adjusting them will incur extra cost??
I'm assuming this is for bikes with shim adjustment, can't understand why they would take all the plastic off to check and then charge for using feeler guages and adjusting lock nut types.
I can also understand that a mechanic could tell if the tappets were loose due to noise, but the valves would have to be way out to tell if too tight, I've heard that some garages only take about an hour for the 600ml service,so that's the only way they could "check" the valves.
Thanks for your update by the way

I will go to the dealer to get it serviced.
Currently the price I am charged per service is lower than the service plans even with inflation.
