Steering head race adjustment replacement
Not for me,but someone on uk facebook pcx group has a slight notchy steering. in the straight ahead position. I am trying to help him but only have an exploded parts diagram to go by. It looks a right job to get to the stem adjustment nut,his bike has done 13000 miles and is going for its first mot, not sure what it's called in the USA. Anyone done it??

Thanks Springer,
I posted the link, I hope this isn't common, unbelievably complicated.

Re: Steering head race adjustment replacement
That's my main worry for MOT as it's part of the check and one of the worst and costly things to fail - the steering should be smooth full left to full right (officially) but some MOT places allow a slight indent at centre.
It's why I hate pot-holes and large bumps / dips as the bearing takes a lot of punishment.

Re: Steering head race adjustment replacement
The lad that I was trying to help has been told it will pass, maybe an advisory.
Also quoted £200 to fix which I think is amazing considering what is involved.
The reason it's the centre is because most of the time, that's where the bars are when riding a bike, especially braking.
Just hope the new model doesn't suffer with it,otherwise will have the ride slalom style.
