I (meaning you) didn't read back far enough to see the Nelson Rigg Bag photos that WN posted after member Rain provided a link. Mine eyes likes it.
Cheers, sleepy head

Re: Top Box ...
I’m so glad I read these posts! I purchased the Nelson-Rigg expandable tail bag per the recommendation given here for my grey 2016 PCX 150. I love it! Easily holds my 3/4 helmet, but I bought it to hold everything else! Tonight it was holding 16 ears of sweet corn purchased at a farmers stand. I use a luggage lock on it when I use it in town. Best of all when it’s full it gives me something to support my back, and it is reflective!

....but do you use them all??
We have a nice luggage set in our basement that we haven't been able to use since 2004, because we can't afford to go on a vacation. Heck we haven't gone on a REAL vacation, where we don't have to stay at a relative's house, for over 20 years.

Here's how I mounted my top box.
The top box was $37 from walmart dot com.
And it works as a backrest, too.

Waddaya mean? Some of my favorite vacations have been staying at relative's houses! Sure, you may not have the autonomy of staying at a hotel, but you don't have the expense either! That means more $$ for nice meals, attractions, and day trips. Of course, it helps if you like your relatives .... lol.Mel46 wrote:... Current travel is often as fun as yardwork in 95 degree weather. I am so glad I got it out of my system.

Re: Top Box ...
I have always had top box’s on my scooter but that is mainly due to the stuff I carry for work needing to be transported securely. Especially after I saw what happened to one piece of equipment worth over £1000 what fell off the back of a motorcycle because they did not secure it.

Any Canadians will be able to buy the Nelson Riggs bag on amazon.ca at an even better price with exchange and shipping from the states. FYI.

To be fair topboxes are also known to fall off or open, usually through user error not checking the box is securely attached and/or locked.Medicpcx wrote:I have always had top box’s on my scooter but that is mainly due to the stuff I carry for work needing to be transported securely. Re: Top Box ...
My wife has a problem locking her top box, so I always check her box for her when we are going riding together. Some of the boxes have a weird lock on them that requires making sure the lip of the lock grabs the lip at the top of the box. The lock will lock without having grabbed that lip.

Re: Top Box ...
Glad to see that the Rigg seat bag is getting some positive attention here...
When expanded, it surprised me on how much it can hold.
But the most important features are that it has zero effect on handling as there is NO weight hanging BEHIND the rear wheel and it doesn't seem to be disturbed by cross winds on the freeway at 120+ speeds.
I normally use the Rigg bag as a carrier for things like gloves, neck warmer, reading glasses, drink bottle, etc,etc..
It easily fits my full face helmet with these things when I stop for a coffee.
I can remove it from the seat in around 15-20 seconds if I need to, and it makes for a convenient carry-all by hand or shoulder strap.
Very versatile piece of equipment.
