Re: Honda PCX 2015 Service Manual
Hello Homie,
I'm trying to perform the 10,000km Maintenance Service for my 2015 Honda PCX 150. I realised that it is hard to find an honest mechanic who can perform a pleasant PCX service nearby my city. So, I decided to move on my own.
As a Beginner what are the important facts that I should keep in mind beforehand?
Also,
I'm planning to purchase the complete list of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Consumables(brake fluids, cleaning agents), Accessories & etc. that will be necessary for the complete PCX maintenance.
Can you advise me on this regard? Your support is highly helpful for me.

It is wise to ask questions as a new owner so I will give you the most common mistakes I see over and over in this forummrmharoon wrote:Hello Homie,

My video's have annotation, you can't see them unless viewed on a computer. This will help with torque specs and side notes. Some might say long and boring but intentionally so to allow for true walk though tutorials.
1. The Honda PCX engine requires 87 octane and higher octanes could cause problems long term.
2. Honda recommends oils (both engine & final drive) to contain MOLY additive. This conditions the aluminum inside, bright and shiny.
3. Honda has a recall on the top box mount bracket and it effects your 2015 PCX.
4. Accelerate wide open throttle as much as you can (don't nurse the PCX off the block) helps to stay off clutch shoe glaze.
5. Use both brake levers together with uniformity.
6. Chasing after more comfortable seats is futile, condition your butt instead.
7. Pushing the bars forward can help with tall people, but accept the PCX was tailored to the Asian body type.
8. If you have the brake lock on your American model best to never use it for anything more than maintaining proper rear brake adjustment.
9. Not all helmets will fit under your seat, choose wisely or look for the little steel cable loop extension in the tool kit.
10. Do not lock your key under the seat.
11. Wear your helmet, I used to track the names of all the crashes in my signature but it got too long and disturbing.
12. Warranties are for one year, 6 months riding time in 4 season climates. So consider it worthless other than to bring you back to your dealer to maintain the warranty for services that may or may not actually be done. These are things you can do yourself anyway. One thing in particular you really don't need to do at all... but they will charge you for it and say they did it

Others can help with more tips, some of these will prompt you to ask why? I will be happy to elaborate but many topics are highly debatable so know these are only my observations from long time membership and personal experience. I'll take a break now and talk about tools after this dust up blows down a little

Re: Honda PCX 2015 Service Manual
I keep my bike cover on even in humid weather, which is most of the time. That is why I purchased one that is very light weight. The wind could pass through it like a parachute, but it is water resistant. Others choose the heavier ones because their bike is parked in all kinds of weather. Mine is parked in my carport, so it is somewhat protected.
Homie has just about covered everything. To help me get the job done faster I now use a small electric screwdriver that can accept attachments as well. Once I loosen the screw/bolt I can use this to finish getting them out in a hurry. I just take a panel at a time and loosen what needs to be taken off before calling in my little tool. But then, I am old, and my wrists don't work as well as they use to.

Not this again.
Never use high pressure washers to clean your bikes (if you are devoid of any form of common sense)
Otherwise it's fine, just kind of don't put the lance too close and don't spray into your wheels bearings, dash or switchgear.
Simples, unless you are.
