LED HEADLIGHTS
How can I change my headlights to led? Where do I find the bulbs? I cannot find any info on doing this? Can it be done?

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
I am not certain that you can change a 2013 model to total led, but I did change my bulbs to HS5, which helped a lot.

I've often found it's easier to find things here by searching google - this forum's posts often crop up and the search engine there seems easier at times, so try both options.

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
Regarding LED headlights. ...
My 2018 Piaggio has just a superb headlight.
I thought, 'why couldn't Kymco design such an effective reflector?!" This thing makes my Kymco look like a candle.
Then I checked the manual: LIKE200i has a 35/35W Halogen bulb; the Liberty150i has a 60/55W Halogen bulb.
It ain’t the reflector!

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
I looked into upgrading my headlights to the ones that draw a-lot more current...I am talking 55w. What I found from others was that if you want to melt the plastics, buy the 55w ones. Honda did NOT mean for us to upgrade our bulbs that much on the PCX. In fact, as I understand it the older models that were sold in Thailand had headlights that were not as powerful as what we have over here in the United States...pre-led versions.
That is why I followed Maddiedog's lead and installed Kawell spotlights on the forks.

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
By the way, if you like a project, the 2013 model only has the two main headlights. The rest of the slots are not even open for bulb installation.
Keeping that in mind, I took on the task of rewiring and adding LED lights to my headlight assembly, though I kept the HS5 bulbs in the main headlight slots. (They don't come with HS5 bulbs in those slots originally, but with effort you can change them out...what a pain that was! It is much easier to just take the bike apart during winter storage and upgrade everything then.)
Now: I have recently removed the very top lights in order to add hazard lights.

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
Please be aware that if you installed an aftermarket LED bulb in a halogen designed light housing, you might be blinding oncoming drivers/riders increasing risk of accidents. These modifications are illegal in increasingly more and more jurisdictions.Mel46 wrote:I am not certain that you can change a 2013 model to total led, but I did change my bulbs to HS5, which helped a lot.

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
The good thing about the HS5 bulb is that Honda actually recommends them but for some reason not all of the PCX 150s had them installed. Here is a Honda OEM parts diagram. Notice what item #5 says. (34901-GGE-901)

Google search on that part number: https://www.google.com/search?q=34901-G ... e&ie=UTF-8
Note the descriptions. PCX 150 is mentioned specifically.

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
Got it, sorry, they it doesn't apply to these bulbs.
Surprising that they can be interchangeable with incandescent bulbs.

Re: LED HEADLIGHTS
It'd be great if someone could advise on the best alternative to standard bulbs for a 2010 PCX from Thailand.
