That is excellent

Re: auto pop up seat conversion kit
I like it, not for me though as I have a lockup routine that involves placing items on an unlocked seat whilst I lock the steering and remove the keys to do the security bits

Re: auto pop up seat conversion kit
Where did you get the kit from? It looks very well made.
The the seat hinge on the PCX seems to be its crudest part in terms of finish. Looks almost hand made, we'll it does on mine are least....

That is freaking awesome! How come its not factory edition!?!? Honda needs to recheck some of their priorities.

I wonder if we could make it by ourselves? Just scrounge up some bits and pieces from ACE Hardware and see what we create.

Cheers...a clever mod! Not a necessity for me though. Honda should have thought of that

Excellent

Re: auto pop up seat conversion kit
Received an email reply about the seat kit. Cost of it is $50 US dollars, if you order over 3 of them, you can get a 10% discount. Shipping from Korea to US is $30 for one kit, for 3 kits it is $50.
I like the kit, but that's kinda steep for what amounts to a spring loaded hinge.

I can see why some might want that but for me it would just be a nuisance.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Re: auto pop up seat conversion kit
I cant see the point. I wouldnt want it popping up when steering is on handle bar lock as would knock my mirrors and when I am getting ready to ride in the rain I like to keep seet down as much as possible to stop rain getting inside. This pop up thingy seems impractical.

The buy who made this thread probably makes them considering his screen name is very similar to the email address....
Cool simple modification, but clearly not worth it if you ask me. I dont spend enough time under my seat to justify this mod even if it were free..

Re: auto pop up seat conversion kit
The only reason I thought it was a nifty idea is that we have high winds here in Idaho on a regular basis. I can't tell you how many times I was trying to get things out of the under seat storage and a nice gust of winds blows the seat back on me. It really doesn't rain a lot here, so water getting down there is not an issue.

I just found a link to a guy from Japan, but until now I got no reply. That Korean guy is crazy, he asks 60$ now!
