Respectfully disagree....to a degree.
For my franc the better Paris youtubes are the video walks through the city.
(I walked the streets of Paris for four years. You gotta get on your feet and slow down. Meander!)

Ah . . . well said!

And from someone who knows!

You were a part of the community for a while . . .. I was only a tourist in buses and cabs.

Glad you did get some enjoyment out of it though . . . maybe bring back a few good memories. :D

FWIW I think $10 was worth about 58 francs when I went . . . roughly. I did have a great time there. :geek:

I haven't seen that video in a while. . ..

Thanks for posting it again. :D

A real exciting run indeed! ;)

Remember a movie called the "Great Escape"?

Here's an interview with the guy who stunt-doubled for Steve McQueen . . . quite an interesting life story. :geek:

Bud Ekins was a real motorcycle lover! At one point he had 140 motorcycles!

He said Steve McQueen had 112!

Jumps over barbwire at 0:57. Doesn't look like he road it out after the landing but it looks good with the movie magic edit.

The nice thing about riding a bike in France or on the Med is that cars expect you on the road. Not so much at all in the UK where you are often resented for filtering. But I hate renting a car in France or Italy. Everything is so tight. Access to multi-story carparks, motorway slipways are really short compared to the UK. Driving lanes are narrower. So many cars with scratches and damage. Same in Italy. I've gotta have excess cover to take the stress off.

Paris ring road, "la peripherique" is 35km (21.75miles) the speed limit is 70kph (45mph) so really shouldn't be possible to do a lap in 10minutes in the dark when its open to traffic.....

Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Wow!

I'd be really worried about road debris . . . tough to see at night. Amazing footage! o_O
