My new Forza 300
Picked my new Forza up yesterday and i am very impressed.
Beautiful finish in Cresent blue /Silver. Smart key works fine.(Comes with a spare one)
Very smooth acceleration. Did about 50Miles yesterday driving Home from the Dealer.
Got up too 90Mph on the A27 past Brighton(not sure if the road was level..Lol)
I find the Seat comfy for the distance driven. Its early days, but so far i am happy.

Great pics!
Is that seat cover just for when it's parked or for riding also?
Have a blast with that thing . . ..

If it rains i usually put a towl under it. Keeps the seat dry and the seems from rotting.

the seems will last longer than you will. You need your ass to have a solid grip on that seat. Do not ride with it on.

Re: My new Forza 300
Exactly right Dave, I once used an air filled seat pad. I was sliding left and right with every curve. Didn't like it.. Felt like my ass was on jelly. I rather feel the curves .

Re: My new Forza 300
I have an air hawk that is strapped to the seat, it doesn't slide anywhere. I wouldn't go on a long trip without it.

Re: My new Forza 300
I think you shouldn't be doing 90mph on a brand new bike out of the showroom as it is about the top speed and does require some running in before trying out for that speed. Run the engine in properly till the first service at least (it will reward you in the long run) - read the owners manual which gives some advice about running in.

Honda will bring the New Forza once the old stock is gone. In Portland, OR I know of one dealer sitting on 4 new 2016 Forzas. In my area there is a 2015 (new) still for sale.

Re: My new Forza 300
In my state there are none available new . . ..Honda will bring the New Forza once the old stock is gone. In Portland, OR I know of one dealer sitting on 4 new 2016 Forzas. In my area there is a 2015 (new) still for sale.

I did see on cycle trader that there are 11 left in CA and 8 in TX and 4 in OR. Maybe 58 "new" nationwide in all . . . at least according to their website. There is 1 in MA but I don't travel more than 50 miles for a motorcycle or scooter purchase. One sad thing about the industry is that 40 years ago there were a lot more motorcycle and scooter dealers around . . . not so many now.

The places where I bought my Bandit and KLR are no longer in business. The place where I bought my Genuine Roughhouse is no longer in business (used to be a Vespa dealer). There are only about 2 Vespa dealers left in my state and that's it. Fortunately I have a Suzuki/Yamaha and Honda/Kawasaki dealer still in operation within 30 miles so I'm OK for now. That said both those business have morphed from the original ones. One relocated a few miles down the road from it's original site and dropped the Triumph line and picked up Suzuki from the old Harley dealer that sold out to Mikes Famous and took over the old Cocoa Cola bottling plant in New London CT. The other Honda/Kawasaki dealer picked up Kymco and expanded into lawn and power equipment years ago to keep it going.
The Vespa GTS 300 intrigues me but it's a hassle fighting the city traffic to get to them. Our Interstate Highways here are carrying about 3 times the amount of traffic they did when I was in High School. Go figure . . .. Just too many fish in the tank. I'm glad I did do my sport touring and see the good places in the bordering states when I did. Plus I had my long range adventures too. Oh those were the days.

I may get the XMax 300 sooner rather than later. Getting older now and can't throw the dice on how many more riding years I have left. Got to live in the "Now"!

I'd at least like to be able to compare it first hand to a new Forza but sadly none of us live forever. If I get as far as my Dad I'll see 5 more Christmas's. Hoping for 105 years but I'll take a 100. That would give me a lot more Christmas's.

Re: My new Forza 300
Why 90mph on a new 280cc engine. Are you crazy.
I found my own 2014 kinda scary at 75, navermang 90.
So I just bought a car and feel a lot safer - what with the countless idiots nowadays overcrowding
the roads, all apparently thinking of themselves as modern-day Fangios or such.
Ah, also bought a Zuma, great for intown errands, 150 mpg canadian...wow 42mph claimed... but it'll never get there.
Forza is now owned by one smiling Montreal student, says it's going just fine, no words about
f...ing top speed.

Re: My new Forza 300
Running a bike up to wide open throttle- even brand new -just to test out to see what the top end is absolutely no problem for any honda engine. Obviously you don't do this often, but you're not gonna hurt it doing it to Test the rpm range. These little scooter engines are tough, and not made of papier-mâché. Too much paranoia on this thread.

Paranoia - I want to ride with less than 3 pair of long underwear.
Why are there red and blue lights everywhere I go?

Re: My new Forza 300
My old school learning still remains strong in my brain . . . strong surges of acceleration followed by coasting down to allow the oil to move along the rings and piston wall(s) within a reasonable speed range. Running at the same speed, as on express highways, for extended periods of time on a new engine is not recommended from what I've read. The first few hundred miles of break in are crucial for long range riding nirvana.
And speaking of paranoia. Take your pick . . ..
It ain't gonna get to me to me to me to me !!!

Re: My new Forza 300
I dont think its a great idea to stress run a new engine until the rings and valves have been seated.Although has anyone ever heard of an engine longevity problem with an improperly broken in engine, or any warranty claim based on an improperly broken in engine.? Curious.
