Actually, i am based in Kuala Lumpur...
and i travel to Thailand very frequent, with the GS Adventure.. fyi, i just got back from Surat Thani and Koh Phi Phi Krabi (via Route 44) last Tuesday... then went to Chana, which i know it is very close to you in Songkhla..
too bad the weather wasn't good in Koh Phi Phi.. but the party was amazing! LoL
by the way, PCX has just been launched in Malaysia couple of weeks ago.. currently, the colour options are not as good as in Thailand..
I shall wait for 2013 models.. I hope they bring in Black body + Red (seat) to Malaysia...
Cheers!

Re: Heyya...
Last Tuesday I saw 2 guys on 2 beautifiul BMX GS Adventures winging it in Songkhla. They were heading towards the LONG BRIDGES over here if you know them. All geared up and really hitting the road. I was on the opposite side heading towards the main beach strip to do some off road swamping. Wonder if that was you?

Re: Heyya...
Welcome!
I'd love to get something like a 1200GS for doing long-distance touring on... I have to retire first, gotta have time to actually travel.
I'd probably get the lighter F650GS though. Either way, GSes are comfy, great on highways, and way better than most street bikes offroads.

Re: Heyya...
Maddie have you seen the 2013 GS800? It looks just as good as the adventure 1200 and does the trick! Wonder how much it costs here in Thailand

Re: Heyya...
If you mean the F800GS its got a BMW price tag. The Triumph Tiger 800 XC has an extra cylinder and is a lot cheaper!

Re: Heyya...
The Tiger is beautiful too. Do you need the extra cylinder though? The in-line twin design BMW uses is rugged as all hell.
I just looked at the new GS, it's preeeety: http://autobikegallery.com/2013-bmw-f80 ... nd-review/ I like the rear-end changes the most.

Oh yes, most definitely.maddiedog wrote:Do you need the extra cylinder though?
Triumph triple engines have excellent power delivery characteristics, are very smooth and almost totally vibration free.
