Re: Tranquility roads and Salt Water
Hey Easy - Nice vid!
Very relaxed atmosphere to ride down there. No stress. I don't think I saw one car in traffic . . . just parked at the launch ramps and restaurant. A few bikes there too . . ..
You are fortunate to live there.
The Forza looks good . . . that is a righteous seat cushion.
Thanks for sharing!
Oh and yes the vid does take a few minutes to download but a welcome site to see warm sunny weather by the water with palm trees.

Stupid iPad 3!! I waited. I just see a black box with a play arrow button inside of it. I pressed that play arrow and waited a minute or two. No Florida for me today

Re: Tranquility roads and Salt Water
YES, that worked! Thank you easyr. Another beautiful spring day in Florida. Suns shining, blue skies, no clouds, water, birds singing, music, the Forza and You. That's a Wrap!!
all at a comfortable, enjoyable speed with NO TRAFFIC! (Uh I mean, NO cars!)
Again I thank you for sharing what I surely miss.
Speaking of missing...you're not missing anything here on the Big Apple's Island. The Roads are a disaster, Everywhere! and getting worse every year. Upheaved asphalt, cracks, potholes in every size, sinkholes too. If and when they repair them it's crap work and doesn't last. Sick of it! Makes riding miserable, a chore. I might as well get a shifty if I 'm going to be "This" busy. Damn! Plus they're laying pipes underground in the dang center of a lane (for miles!!) what the frick! Terrible!!! My favorite roads to travel to and from are Destroyed. Ugh! I may have to get a Can Am Ryker! These two skinny tires are not cutting it anymore. Ok done with that. (BP shot up)
Before I move on...I really really enjoyed the song playing in your background. I immediately sought it out on youtube. "Saltwater" - by Geowulf. I will add that to a playlist of mine, Thank you!
In return I bring You this song: "Children" - by Robert Miles
One day I shall ride in open area (no traffic) whilst listening to ^ that song (but with more speed).
On my bucket list

WNoise,
That's a shame about your roads!
Yeah, no scooter cannot deal with crap road surfaces. There's no magic shock that can keep the engine & CVT from banging up and down with the rear wheel.
You might get more riding enjoyment from one of the naked adventure bikes with lots of suspension travel. Heck shifting gears is fun...keeps you from losing your brain cells due to inactivity!
Again, that's a shame...
I know there are roads I will never travel on due to the lousy surface.....but if that's all I had - I'd go back to a motorcycle in a hurry.

Re: Tranquility roads and Salt Water
It's a sign of the times.
I don't ride at night hardly at all anymore . . ..
Last year they were working on replacing the water lines along one of our popular shore roads. Before that they were working on installing gas pipe mains along other roads feeding into the area.
If you look to the right of the yellow arrows in this pic you can see a shallow trench of asphalt repair they did last year. It will be a while before they pave the whole road over again. In the mean time people just straddle it or get a bumpy ride.

Re: Tranquility roads and Salt Water
That one of the main reason I left that sandbar.. Too many people trying to occupy the same space. Traffic and roads were horrible. Winter ice and summer heat on a shifting sand bar plays hell with asphalt and concrete. fyi great travel tune.. ThxWhiteNoise wrote:YES, that worked! Thank you easyr.
