Hi there,
I have mounted my RAM mount to the rear brake reservoir. (or rather Honda did!) they didn't drill any new holes, they just used the two holes at the front of the RAM bracket to secure. My old TomTom was fairly heavy and it stayed secure on there no bother, no leaks from the reservoir that some people have suggested.
I am now looking to hardwire a new Garmin, have found the battery, just need to suss out how to hide the wiring behind the plastics, I think I can get my hand (or a metal wire) down past the battery to tug the cable through and if I pop open the spark plug cover I am hoping I can push it through to behind the front wheel. I need to suss out how to get the housing off the handlebars to bring the wire up through with the cable to the rear brake.
(Don't worry will be removing the connections over winter when it is not in use so as not to drain the battery )

Poppett - that sounds awfully complicated. I haven't checked myself, but many modern bikes have a hidden spare connector (often used for heated grips) which can be used for GPS. Maybe the Forza is different but have a rummage around and see what you find (then tell me )
Edit: and remember to add your location before WN, OG and Mel etc get on your case

Re: GPS Mount for new Forza 300??
Thanks Oldie, location updated. So I got all my connections ready, found the battery, took one look at the transformer that came with the Garmin and though forget it, its it's not going to be hardwired
The cradle has been modified so I can use the mini USB into the 12v instead.

Plastic cover is removable in the middle. There is a 6mm tread. RAP-B-379-M616 from Ram mount will fit.

I too fitted the said ram mount the right code too but upon screwing into the left mirror blank hole it stops like the thread is wrong.
