Repairing scraped paint on Forza fairing

I got a 2014 Forza recently that has scrapped up paint on the fairing and on the plastic underneath the foot rest space. I got a $450 quote for it to be repainted in my home garage without taking any of the parts off the scooter, but it is too expensive for my budget. Can anyone suggest any less expensive alternative. It doesn't need to look perfect, but it needs to be improved.

Buy new parts already factory painted........each side is about $55 and the lower is less....try partzilla.com....they just pop on....

Not fooling, they just pop on? I figured I would need to take off the front end to get them off. Oh my, I will check out the replacement parts! Thanks a million.

Look in the DIY section for a couple of the guys that have torn down the entire bike.

Worth checking out a few vendors in Asia, too. BikerzBitz have always been great as well as a few Thai based sellers on eBay, such as “bikeqwerty”. I have bought a few things from the latter recently and ‘Mike’ was very amenable to deals and offers. For me in the UK it worked out quite a bit cheaper all in, even comparing with Partzilla. But then you are also in the US...

Check with your local Honda dealer. Remarkably, they were cheaper than everywhere else online too.

In many cases thats true.. I bought a tire from Honda dealer cheaper than on line and no shpg costs.. Pays to check with them.

I priced up the parts at the metro Honda store and they were about 50% higher than Partzilla. I gave them the Partzilla's prices and they offered to match them. Heck of deal and I am happy to transact locally. It pays to shop around and I never would have thought the dealer could offer competitive pricing but for your keen suggestions. I am going to play dumb when I get the parts and see if a tech can "pop" the new ones in for me. These replacement parts are gonna make my scooter look brand new! Thanks to all for the great help and suggestions.

I have a similar issue with the used 2014 I got last summer. The only thing that concerned me about ordering online was that the red is called different things like "glowing red" or "pearl red" which is on our title. I think letting the dealer handle the ordering is a great idea. That way, if the color is wrong, they will have to deal with the returns, etc..

Update: I went the route of talking to a Honda dealership. He found the piece and quoted me a price of only $5 higher than Partzilla and so I didn't have to pay any shipping and wait around. He had it in 4 days later but wanted about $100 to put it on. That's too rich for me but there's a bit more than just popping it on. The center front piece has a screw in the bottom that has to come out and part removed, before any of the windshield and side panels can be worked on. And because they are well made, I found it takes a bit of finessing to get it off carefully.
