Really!? parking & texting?

That's her, back there at the stop sign.


Here she comes, slowly pulling in behind me.
Over-ran her parking slot and bumped my scooter while looking at her cell.


Scooter didn't fall (slid it off the side stand but I grabbed the right grip) crash bar took the nudge, insurance man said not to post my photos of her license plate. I reported it and emailed photos, but no damage done. Not claiming.

I took a couple pix of it all - to scare her if nothing else. "Park the stupid cell phone!"

Good thing she didn't push it into where you stood.

Between misuse of cell phones/devices, the opioid crisis, and a significant chunk of the population aging out of their ability to properly operate a motor vehicle it's getting to be a real barrel of monkeys out there.

It's hard to find the humor sometimes.

Yeah, I have my gear on while taking pix - I stand in traffic a lot!
I thought about throwing my Kymco on the sidewalk, rolling over it and hollering, "you totaled my Vespa!, and my glasses, and my Hasselblad....and my Rolex went down the drain! And, hey!, my neck hurts...."
But, my teenage daughter is working on me to stop being such an old drama queen.

Yes, texting while driving is becoming a major problem, and just because there is a law against it does not mean they will stop doing it. I watched a car rear end another one yesterday because the car that was following did not stop when traffic did...why?? Because she was texting and did not look up in time. She hit the stopped car at 45 mph! I have to wonder if she told the other driver that she was sorry but her text was important.

Cell-phones? we've lived without them. No longer the case. Not honest with myself on how I feel about them. Plus' and minus'. The device's operator can save you, maim you, or kill you. Hmm...
