*Mel, I know you think I'm going to die parked here. Have been riding here for 7 years. Never seen a parked car or any of the 100 daily jaywalkers hit. It is 25mph through town. I have had a couple of texters walk into me while sitting at my sidewalk table. (at the right, see my helmet?)
Last night, after a day of 100° temps and high humidity, it stormed like the gods were really angry at us! The house shook. The thunder sounded like it was right on top of us, and my dogs ran for cover under beds, in their crates, on top of my wife's head, under the covers. What a night! ...but all is well this morning.
