How many miles did you go until you changed belt?
Owners manual says I'm due for belt change....I have 17K miles.
I suppose I'll be ordering an OEM belt soon.

Re: How many miles did you go until you changed belt?
I did 19,000+ UK miles and my double sides cogged belt still looks fine - no cracks or marks anywhere and was the same width as a new belt (not measured, just placed back to back kind of. I changed it as I expected it needed changing.
The 1st belt I ordered was from Ebay and had all the official Honda and Bando labelling, but the inner white 'kevlar' or whatever was un-even around the belt - parts squished out and parts missing from the edge (some Ebay photo's even show that!) whereas a new belt from the dealer was perfect all round.

Approx. 16K, 19K and 20K miles. Not worth savings/risk .....really. Assumed because I'm 160 lbs
and ride at lower speeds on country roads, better chance of getting away with it. Another member
who rides similarly, broke his at close to your mileage [think] . Wise to change it.

Re: How many miles did you go until you changed belt?
The Forza belts are supposed to be replaced at 25,600 km (15,900 miles).
I have replaced mine at 26,142 km (16,244 miles), 26,073 km (16,201 miles), 25,844 km (16,058 miles), 26,129 km (16,235 miles)
I have used Honda or eBay belts with no problems except I have a broken clutch bearing for the last 16,000 km. It all works just fine but noisy at idle. I have medical problems and the scooter will probably outlast me. I doubt if I will see next summer.
I am currently at 121,325 km (75,387 miles).

I found an old belt while cleaning up my closet. The two ends did not even meet around my waist anymore. Lots of extra holes needed.you you wrote:Same belt as I had at sixteen. Just a few* extra holes.
Re: How many miles did you go until you changed belt?
I was wondering if any of Forza owners have replaced the drive belt with the cheaper Chinese eBay belts at $35.00? I changed the belt with one of those and immediately lost speed. Higher rpm's etc....for instance at 50mph my motor is 7,000 rpm which is a joke. anyone with issues of cheaper belts?

Re: How many miles did you go until you changed belt?
Why in the world would you want to buy something that is so instrumental to the propulsion of the unit, and you know it is cheaper and not up to spec?
If this was a several thousand dollar item I could see considering it , but we’re talking pennies here between the OEM unit and this cheap Chinese knock off.
I might buy a knock off seat or brake levers, but I’m not gonna mess with propulsion items. I hate being stranded by the side of the road.

This is the best price for original Honda belt that I've found. With shipping to USA about $80.00

Is that a PCX belt? You are in the Forza 300 section.pcx man wrote:OEM belt from Honda dealer is listed at $31.13
I paid $214 Canadian for a belt from my dealer. Or $145.60 Canadian another time or $88.21 Canadian from eBay.ca
Prices vary a lot and it was the exact same product each time.

Re: How many miles did you go until you changed belt?
OEM for the "Forza" belt [Honda Dealer] close to $180.00. Economy of scale.
That's one big advantage for the PCX. OEM [PCX] Parts, so much cheaper.
