Well, the "boss" wife has given me the green light to purchase something on two wheels in the Spring! <<Happy Dance>> I am opting for either a 2019 or 2020 PCX 150 of course. I don't really need the ABS version I don't think, unless I am convinced otherwise. I am a pretty casual driver and like to take life slow. My goal for the PCX is to cat around the neighborhoods and back roads, staying off the beaten path where most of the crazies are on the road.

I'm 51 now and have ridden plenty of motorcycles but anymore I just want ease and comfort. Twist n' Go is perfect for me!

From what I've found so far the 2019/2020 stays the same except color, where the 2020 is only available in red in the United States. Is this correct? When you check out YouTube in other countries there are different color options available because they are more popular and a lot more folks ride scooters, where in the US there's not as much demand. Makes sense. Supply vs Demand.

I'd be happy with either one, 2019 or 2020...as long as there's no other upgrades I am unaware of.

Spring can't get here fast enough! I have about 5-6 months until warmer weather. I live in Southern Ohio and it won't get above 60 degrees until May. Winters here are long, grey and cold. Boooo!

Is anyone else going for the 2020 version? If so, why?

Just Red here in the United States, so far the 2020 isn’t showing any change from that 2019 that anyone can see… It was just re-designed in 2019 so it’ll stay the same for quite a while now.

But remember for about 250 bucks you can change out all the plastic for many other OEM colors that are available from the pacific rim vendors.

New PCX customers in the U.S. will be able to "Ride Red" for 2020.

But I do wish they offered the other colors as well including the Dark Blue and White.

I still haven't had a chance to check out the only 2019 I know of still available in my state to see if the seat has improved . . . and any ergo changes attributable to the new frame.

That said I'm sure there are people waiting to see what happens as far as the ADV 150 is concerned. The big question is will that be introduced to the U.S.? Time will tell . . ..

But the SH150i is getting a resigned 4 valve engine. And the SH150i shares the same engine with the PCX.... So there's a pretty good chance the PCX will get this same, newly redesigned engine.

But at the same time, if there's a lot of extra, old 2 valve engines.... the U.S. is likely the country they go to.

So pretty much the only thing to look forward to... and 50/50 shot if we'll actually get it here in the states.

The Forza 125 also shares the engine block and drivetrain with the PCX, and it has a 4 valve head from the introduction in 2015. For comparison, the forza has 14.9hp vs the ~12 of the PCX. That combined with a larger bore wound be quite interesting. An idea what I has in mind for long time...

I wonder if Honda could ship them bare of plastic and then have the dealer supply red, blue or white depending on customer preference? Seems like they would not need to keep too many panels in stock. Also they would have to actually earn some of their onerous delivery charges!

Not feasible, labour costs would be through the roof.

I think you will love the PCX150 when you get it, regardless of the color. I have a silver 2019, non-ABS (I would have preferred ABS but did not want to wait for the dealer to find one, and he had a non-ABS model right on the showroom floor). I use it for the same reasons you state you want one, and I have had a ball with it. Most of my riding is on my 2016 Goldwing, but the PCX is my go-to bike for quick runs to the supermarket or other stores and occasional 30 to 45 minute rides just outside the city on country roads. On roads with a 45 mph posted speed, or even on those posted for 55, the PCX does great. I routinely get it up to about 60 or 62, and other than the lack of a windscreen it is just a hoot! I always wear a helmet with a face shield so that I can flip it down when I get over about 45, otherwise the wind is annoying. I live in a climate similar to what you have in Ohio (I'm in north western Illinois), and like you I sometimes want the convenience of twist and go. Congrats and good luck!
