I own their Defender Jeans in both black and blue denim. I also have a pair of their flannel lined carpenter jeans (made and sold Only at this time of year). I'm Super pleased with all 3 pair! I even bought a flannel pair last Christmas as a gift. Relative loves me More :D xoxox

Length 29" to 38"

Flannel Lined Carpenter jeans

Are these truly motorcycle jeans - in other words - do they have pockets for the Klim D30 pads?
If not, maybe they are for bicycle riders?

No pockets for armor. I kinda hoped they added that by now but then...the armor would probably drift around in the pockets anyway.
These USA manufactured heavier jean have Kevlar sewn inside. Click link, for it's placement.
Armor? I always wear Bohn Armor pants underneath when I wear mine. Other folks choose to wear stand alone knee/shin armor. Or no armor (bad boyz).
When I'm not wearing my Defenders I'm in my Rev'it armored pants.

Are the Gusset Defender pants "just" jeans? My answer, no. I'm sure you've read about these on other forums fish - ADVrider, Vespa, and Kymco? You tell me ;)
I'm very comfortable in mine. Fit is exact - Waist and length.
Oh and here's this...if a size isn't listed I believe they'll make it if asked.
