Or why do some members have to write derogatory things against members they don`t know a shit about? These members distroy the pleasure for other members to stay in the forum. It is always easy to get away with "Oh, this way a joke", but maybe it does`t feel like a joke for the receiver. I think it is time to have a friendly discussion on this topic!
While I will agree with you that there are a few select members here that seem to push the limit when it comes to "discussions" and will, at times, resort to rude comments, etc....the majority of people here are quite friendly, helpful and supportive. I just choose to ignore those select few that comment like they have just sat on a corn cob vertically.
Occasionally I've noticed people being harsh, but most of the time any bullying or negative results comes from members confusing humor with mocking, and reacting inappropriately.
There have been a few exceptions -- GN2 is notorious for this since he's so hard-headed (love you though, GN2), but even the exceptions are generally accurate, helpful advice wrapped up in a bit too much sarcasm.
I haven't moderated much on this forum and don't plan on it unless quality of posting declines. For example, one of the examples cited in this thread I would have sooner moderated requesting the new member make an attempt to speak properly before I would have requested the other members stop bantering about racing.
This forum is all in good fun. It's a healthy, happy atmosphere here most of the time, and the only time things get dysfunctional is when someone confuses humor for insult.
Keep a light heart, and enjoy yourself. You're on the internet -- you shouldn't take ANYTHING here seriously. Life's far too short to worry about such trivialities.

Man hugs, soft hands, sexual pervs and ladyboys in Thailand (on another topic). Where will this go next? By the way, i agree with the OP. There's a bit of off topic responses that could offend new or older members. There's only a few who enjoy doing this type activity. It's like they enjoy mucking up the flow of the topic being discussed.
