Panel removal

Post by Yorkie150 »

REF 2018 Honda PCX 125 ( WW125 ) does anyone have a copy of a page from workshop manual that describes how to remove the centre console around the fuel filler? I am trying to get access to route a power cable to my handle bar mounted satnav....Need to get back to fuse block area / battery -- for a 2018/19 pcx 125. ( the ones on the Internet seem to be all pre 2018 which is fixed differently ) thanks

I dont have a page that could help but its very very similar to the older versions though. I disassembled mine no problems. You start form the back and remove both covers with the brake light and then go to the front and do the usual disassembly. Once you have all 4 main covers off you can also remove both the leg shield and the center cover if you want its just a couple of screws.
Its a drag that you need to remove the back covers but they are covering 4 screws that hold the front covers. You can actually bend them out of the way but i would not recommend that youll just break those 90 degree plastic hooks. You need to pull it backwards and out kind off. If you have trouble i can take a pic. My 2019 is currently disassembled...

I managed do so the work this afternoon - removed the lower panels under the foot rests and managed to use a wire coat hanger to feed the cables through , utilising the spark plug access flap etc
It was a hard job but done :)
