Hi there all.
My 2010 PCX125 has been parked up for a few days, and I could hardly move the machine, such was the resistance of the rear wheel. So probably somethings to do with the wheel bearings.
The bearing in the swing arm is the one I'll swap, along with the front wheel bearings for good measure. Hopefully it's nothing transmission related.
I have noticed a large amount of brake dust in the drake drum innards.
As I have it all disassembled, I can see that there's just less than 3mm of material left on the brake shoes.
Does anyone know what the scrapping thickness is for them? I can only see references for the shoes being worn when the rear wheel and brake is assembled, and the indicator mark on the arm.

Re: Back wheel seizing
Did you set your parking break? The rear brake could also be adjusted too tight, try loosening the adjuster nut at the back wheel. 3mm of material sounds like plenty of pad left.

Re: Back wheel seizing
Thanks.
The brake was adjusted ok, and I'd had to use the adjustment screw a while back.
The bearing at the rear does feel a little 'gritty' at the rear, and the front feels very tight when the wheel is elevated, so I think that's the issue.

Re: Back wheel seizing
Clutch bearing problems possibly? It is a common problem.

It certainly affected the earlier models. My wife's 2013 model had the problem, and I have heard of it causing problem on the 2011 model, so it might be good for you to change it, as well as the front and rear wheel bearings. Also, since the brake pads are low, change them and check the drum.
