And on anything other than a straight road a SV650 is a much much faster bike.

Hey Grinner, I wonder if the speedo in that video was calibrated in KPH or MPH ? If it KPH, then .... well, it's far too quick for my bones, but if it's MPH ..... Sheeeeez I'm seriously humbled - and also very impressed by modern tire technology LoL !

The SV isn't fitted with a hinge between the headstock and swingarm pivot.

Yeah . . . as gn2 stated km/h.Hey Grinner, I wonder if the speedo in that video was calibrated in KPH or MPH ? If it KPH, then .... well, it's far too quick for my bones, but if it's MPH ..... Sheeeeez I'm seriously humbled - and also very impressed by modern tire technology LoL !
Converted the guy was doing around 155 MPH. Allowing for speedometer error maybe 140+ MPH?
All I can say is . . . without getting myself in trouble . . . I had to back off one time on mine because my leather jacket started to get distorted and I figured that the way it still pulled it had a lot more left. That was good enough for me. The happiness is in the wanting as they say so from that day forward I could always look back knowing I "chose" not to go faster . . . but could have. And mine is in MPH.

That said . . . the fastest I've ever gone on a motorcycle was on my '87 Kawasaki Ninja 750R. And that was more than a decade earlier than when I gave my GSF1200S a go. Another rider decided to pass between me and a car I was already passing, as a prank evidently. So I don't know what got into me but I eventually caught up to him and passed him about a mile later. It looked like he was on a GSXR. I swore I'd never do that again but he was a damn fool.

I digress. I've got about 31K on it now. Don't ride it as much as I used to. I have to say that Suzuki engine has never let me down.

Not sure if this will work, but heading up to Cologne airport one evening few years back on my old ZX9R (taken out to 1,000 cc, full system on it etc), oddly enough after blowing it up I bought a ZX12R and bog stock it was somewhat quicker
