Another seat mod' - old Forza
I knew when I bought the Forza the seat could be a problem, not enough leg room for the feet forward style I prefer. The pictures show my take on the seat modification, more pictures when it is back from being reupholstered.
1. A used seat bought from Poland via Ebay. The only problem found was the tear had allowed water to soak into the interior foam. 2. First the hump and seat cover was removed. The foam was covered by a clear plastic film which I guess was added as extra waterproofing. 3. This is what it looks like after the foam and glue are stripped off. The plan is to move the bum-stop further back by 25mm using the 4 upper holes for location to keep things straight. 4. No going back now! 5. The cut out piece was fastened over top of the base with screws and an aluminium plate. The seat material is PP, (polypropelyene) which is virtually impossible to glue but can be welded. I cut thin pieces of PP from the 'hump' and using a soldering iron welded around the top and sides of the join. 6. The seat underneath is not ideal with all those screws showing but I was concerned that if put in the other way around they would damage the seat foam. The seat is at the trimmers, more pictures when I get it back.

It was covered by Damon of Motorcycle Seatworks in Wyke. He copied the 'Maltese design' from a previous post here.
