Front Wheel Wobble
Not noticed before but if I lift my hands of the bars, only tried at low speed, after a few seconds it develops an alarming wobble!

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
Thats normal. If you feel a wobble on turns or braking with hands on the bars you have a problem.

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
I would check the clamp bolts at the top of the forks.
I would also check the pinch bolt at the bottom of the forks.
I have also had fork seals go, so check for oil leaks.
I would also keep my hands on the bars. It is a Forza, not a highly tuned race bike.
Check the air in the tires. Check your front fender. Mine had a broken mount for a while until I JB Welded a new bracket on.
My Forza came with no oil in the forks. It was awful until some was added. But mine was also a crash recovery write-off. I suspect the lack of oil caused the minor crash. One mirror has a few minor scratches and so does the bar end.

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
My experience is of motorbikes which would be a worry! I’m not worried but pleased with the feedback. I absolutely love it and ride it like a regular bike. Will check oil in front forks.
Re: Front Wheel Wobble
Is the wheel balanced?
Re: Front Wheel Wobble
Yes it was fitted new a few months ago!
Re: Front Wheel Wobble
Check the rear tyre pressure and wear.
Mine did that when it was time for a new rear tyre.

Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
Re: Front Wheel Wobble
New rear tyre fitted two weeks ago!

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
Sounds odd but it’s true. Sometimes an issue felt as “front wheel / tire” is actually caused by something associated in the rear tire / wheel / suspension.gn2 wrote:Check the rear tyre pressure and wear.

The new models had this issue and Honda fixed them under warranty I think..., bad OEM tires or something like that...springer1 wrote: Sounds odd but it’s true. Sometimes an issue felt as “front wheel / tire” is actually caused by something associated in the rear tire / wheel / suspension.
Re: Front Wheel Wobble
It’s a 2015 and it does have a top box!

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
I get weird front wheel action if I put any weight in my top box. I think it is only rated for 6 kg including the weight of the box. So about 10 pounds max.
Re: Front Wheel Wobble
My 2016 Forza 300 has wobbled since brand new. I have fitted different tyres (Bridgestone) had top box on/off, makes no difference

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
I would check the clamps at the top of the front shocks. My 2014 has a very low torque spec on the four bolts.
I torqued them but they still felt loose. I tightened them up a little more.
Grab the tire and give it a shake. Bad bearings?
How do you know it wobbles? Looking at the tire? Looking at the rim?
I have had a bent wheel for 100,000 miles. Tires are relatively cheap.
I think the former owner hit a curb very hard. Slight bulge in one side of the rim. It holds air with no problems.
Check your tire air pressure. I run 29/29 front and back. I think the book says 25 front.

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
I mean if you ease off pressure on the handlebar grips, the bars wobble from side to side. at about 20- 35 mph
There is no play anywhere, the wheel is true and balanced.
Honda said it was because I had a Topbox - No it isn't

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
It could be the forks. I have had problems with the seals leaking.
When I first got my insurance write off Forza with less than 2000 km on it there was no oil in the forks.
A one inch bump would crash me right down to the stops.
I had oil added and it became normal.
I was never sure if it was made wrong on a Monday or the previous owner did something really stupid.

Re: Front Wheel Wobble
The forks work as they should, the handlebars shake from side to side.
Kinda used to it, but it's still annoying.
