Re: Today's Quick Pic
okay, Now I remember Bronson
but I never really watched him. I just checked out a youtube and heard him sing "that" song while riding his bike (not-so-good voice). Kojak? Parents watched his show all the time, and it was common to hear those 4 words said no matter where you were!
So...can we make believe that "today's quick pic(s)" are of Bronson and Kojak? (trying to keep on target here. oh crap who cares!

Re: Today's Quick Pic
We looked at a Silver wing but we didn't like the looks of the back end. I can't explain that but I think k the Burg man 400 has a nice view of the back, and my wife loves driving it since it sits low enough to the ground that she can actually sit in the driver's seat without having to worry about balance. I loved the power that the Silver wing had. In the end we decided that 400 cc's is more than enough power for us. We have discussed the Burg man 650 AND the Silverwing many times since the purchase, but we still think the Burg man 400 was a good choice for us. My wife does not like the idea of being g a passenger on any bike so the bike had to fit her as well as being comfortable for both of us. We bought the PCX after the 400 because we felt that it was a great bike for her size and was easy to control. She has dropped it twice now, but in both cases she had stopped on gravel and her foot slipped. Imagine how that would have been on the 400!

Gn2 told me that if it was fired into the centre of Edinburgh it could cause thousands of pounds worth of improvementsAlibally wrote:Unfortunatly it burst in the 17th century when in use against the invaders from the "south"you you wrote:Alibally wrote:Mons meg at Edinburgh castle. I lived in Edinburgh Castle circa 1980 and was a personal friend of Tam the Gun.
He once let me fire the one o'clock gun.

There's a joke in there somewhere about firing blanks but I can't think of one at the moment.

Re: Today's Quick Pic
Is this still about impromptu pictures? I had one unexpected picture around two years ago with my old bike....parked in a dodgy area with very hidden "private parking" signs at what turned out to be a dodgy pub's car park...apparently they made more money with private parking "offenses" than with beer...at least the clamp matched its colour.

Re: Today's Quick Pic
156 British, hard earned, not budgeted for, after lots of income tax pounds....for 10 minutes parking...makes the equivalent of 936 Pounds per hour, more than my hourly wage! At least it included the fees for using card payment...and if he felt insulted, it would have cost me another 50 quid - that was actually on the bill I got!maddiedog wrote:Oh, that blows.
