Hello, this is my first post in this forum, I am from Austria and got my PCX125 in the middle of June 2021.
I compared the speedometer of my Honda with a gps-app on my cellphone and discovered, that the speedometer is 10 percent ahead of the real speed. I am a perfectionist and so I want to know the real speed which I am driving and not a false one.
Is there any possibility to correct the speed shown on the speedometer to the real driven speed? Because it is a digital speedometer.
Thank you!

Re: Speedometer 10 percent ahead
This is common to all cars, motorcycles, I know that when my car is at 50 km/h it actually is 45 km/h the same goes for my scooter.
I don't think you can do anything about it.
Let me give you some sound advice:
I used to be a perfectionist, everything had to be better than the norm until I realized that it was draining my energy after I became depressed and had to be treated for it. Now the norm is good even slightly under the norm is also good I have more energy to put to better use elsewhere.
And look at the bright side you'll never get a speeding ticket...

Says it has a digital speedo, so its the most recent version.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

@ Old Scoot:
I am not so extreme as you described yourself
, but measurements should show (nearly) the correct value. 3% were ok, but 10% is too much in my opinion.

Erbaz, this company may offer a device that would work for you to dial in your speedo.

I have not used one but have seen a few good reports on other forums.

Make sure the tire pressure is correct. if the pressure on the back tire is low it will rear high (or vis versa). lol
Higher PSI will give you a taller tire and might lower that percentage.
