‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem
Bike dash lights up as normal but when pushing starter button nothing happens. As if kill switch is on or side stand down. After several tries it will start, and then runs completely normal, until the next time it doesn’t anyways. Ideas?

Re: ‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem
I had trouble starting yesterday, I had accidentally hit my kill switch. I started to panic.

My side stand switch has given me problems at times. I just put the stand up and down a few times.

Do a check on the tightness of the battery connections, dirty electrical contacts, etc - always do the simple checks first before delving deeper in to the problem.

Re: ‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem
I had a friend call me that his car would not start.
There was nothing wrong with his car.
His brain would not start.
He died of Alzheimers a few months later.
RIP Keith.

Re: ‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem
My kill switch died twice under warranty and once again afterwards. When the bike wouldn't start I would flip the kill switch back and forth a few times, press down on it (as if trying to shove it down into the cluster housing), and then start up. The first time it started acting this way once the bike was out of warranty, I opened up the right hand cluster and wired the kill switch right out of the circuit. Never had a problem in the couple of years since.

Re: ‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem
Good advice. I had the exact symthoms you described and resolved it when I found a loose connection on my battery. May not be the problem in your case but this is where I would start.glencoeman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 2:11 am Do a check on the tightness of the battery connections, dirty electrical contacts, etc - always do the simple checks first before delving deeper in to the problem.
