Are they any good?? Just wondering on real life actual experiences.

I wouldn't trust them. There have been quite a few members in the past who tried them and regretted it when the belt shredded unexpectedly, after a short time, while on the road. Once that happens it is not a simple task to just open the side, swap the belt, close up and be on your way. Those belts throw parts everywhere, and your bike isnt going anywhere until that mess is pulled out of gearing and where it shouldn't be. Usually that means that ill have to have the bike trailered to a repair shop. For a savings of a few bucks, it isn't worth it.

It is a real hit and miss story. Some are OK, some aren't.

In the long run I don't think you save any money. It gets expensive when a belt breaks. Just buying friends lunch when they rescue me gets expensive.

But Honda will have them made to their specific high standards. It does not matter where they are made - it's how well they are made that matters.

I am not in the west so do not know. Figured anyone starting a thread on Chinese belts, and living in N America, would know because they bought one.
Buy OEM here - package says Made in Thailand
Changed PCX after 30 something K only because I was in there anyway., Forza 20 something K but still original

My service manual says 16,000 miles - 25.6,000 Km

Manual says 24,000km on mine, but I guess if not changed for 5 or more years it's best to take it out and have a look, can easily see if cracks appear if bend it a bit from inside and also outside, or generally if it's in bad condition... , they are pretty tough though if genuine....

Thanks for the replies, The bike is now 5 years old with only 6,000 miles on it.
I may just change it anyway

I passed a lot of graveyards on my last ride. I wonder if any of them had my name.

I got passed by a half dozen Gold Wings on a twisty road. My Tin Wing gets no respect.

I stopped later to wait while about 20 Harley's roared by. No respect shown to them either. I just hoped the tight formation did not do something stupid in the Thompson Canyon.

I saw a bunch of sport bike riders in my mirror. I signalled and slowed down in the right side of my lane. They all passed with gusto. But then later I passed them while they re-fuelled.

I had an ambulance come towards me with the lights flashing. I was concerned about the sport bikes. They did not pass me until I fuelled up near home much later.

The belt did not break. The weather got so hot I took off my imitation goretec layer and just rode in my meshed armour jacket.

The big horny sheep totally ignored me this time. Even the 30 wheel trucks behaved. The 50 wheel truck parked in my way but I carefully got past it.

The mountains did fall down in places but I did something a lot of people fail to do. I actually looked where I was going.

A while back a 50 ton boulder rolled down the hill and bounced over the barrier where I frequently ride. They pushed it to the side of the road. It did not have my name on it.

I have found my name in the obituaries a few times. I have died a few times. I keep coming back. Sex, drugs, rock n roll.
