Less than 200 miles on the odo. On my way home today the power decreased and the engine/trans started to whine. Finally died about 100 yards from my garage. Had to unceremoniously push her home
Waited an hour and the starter makes a god awful sound. Will have to call Honda and/or the local dealer to get her towed, checked out and fixed. Closest dealer is 20 miles away.
I'm not happy. A brand new bike and it dies on me with less than 200 miles.
I"m not the only one this has happened to. Is this a fluke? Did I get a lemon?
ranier, that's a shame, Too weird, freakin' crazy! How long have you had the scoot? No signs were present prior to this ride? Are fluids okay? Keep us posted. Can't imagine ( ) what dealer will say (or won't). Lemon? How many times does the shop have to re-visit the same problem on a bike to then title it a lemon? Where I am, and years back... I think it was 3 shop visits before a "lemon Is a lemon." Chin up, something good might come of this

So I checked the fluid levels last night after dinner. Coolant was fine, oil was on the lower side but within the indices marks.
I tried to crank it over and it sound like it want to but dies. I've only had the bike since the end of Dec and it turned over 200 miles on the odometer. I'd tear into the bike myself buy I just moved and my garage is cluttered. Plus it's a new bike so I'll let the dealer have a look at it and see what they say.
I may have gone a bit extreme calling it a lemon but considering it dies at 200 miles on the odo I think it's on it's way. I'll hold off on giving it that shameful moniker til the dealer checks it out.

No, that's definitely a lemon if it dies at 200 on the odo. I've had over 6000 trouble-free miles, and expect 10k+ more trouble-free miles.
I'd make sure the dealer fixes it, and compensates you for your trouble. GN2's right, someone goofed up on the dealer side.
