Stuck Screw On Front Brake Master Cylinder

Hello all

Today I tried to change my own brake fluid on my 2016 PCX150 for the first time and I cannot for the life of me remove one of the screws on the reservoir cap.

I used the correct size screwdriver, WD-40, rubber bands and a hammer on the screwdriver with zero luck. Has anyone had experience with a stubborn or stripped screw? What can I do here to remove it without damaging anything else?

Also, does anyone have a reliable site to order a new screw from? I found hondapartshouse.com, but I'm not sure if there's better sites out there. Thanks!

Also keep in mind that this bike uses JS head screws, not PhillIps Head. That makes a difference when the screw is stubborn.

Thanks all. I've ordered a JIS screwdriver with a few different tips for it and will leave it alone until it arrives. I don't want to strip it more than I already have. Will update when I try it.

Just got my JIS driver and it removed the screw no problem, even in this partially stripped state. Ordered a couple of extra screws to replace the current ones just in case.

I change my brake fluid a little more often than most. Once a year and again after replacing the brake pads. (I know some will say that is too often, but it does not harm and takes very little fluid.) I suggest that, even if you do not change the oil so often, you could give the screws half a turn out and back in again a couple of times a year. That should keep them from getting stuck, and will take no more than 20 seconds.

On my previous bike I killed one of the screws trying to get it out of the master reservoir.
Wonder if i can get the one you use here in Japan,

Impact driver will crack that off straight away. Best place for parts on UK is David silver spares or wemoto
