Fuel opener/Seat Opener Switch
Does anyone know if the Fuel Opener/Seat Opener Switch has internal springs to keep it centred?
Mine is floppy after 100,000 miles. I have to manually centre it so that I can remove the key.
Is there an external spring that has gone missing? Do I need a new switch?
It is a nuisance but still rideable.

Doubt if it is serviceable.
A new one will solve the problem

Re: Fuel opener/Seat Opener Switch
It is a mechanical switch pulling cables. Not electrical.

Re: Fuel opener/Seat Opener Switch
It certainly feels like an electrical switch operating a solenoid. You can hear the solenoid kick. If it was pulling a cable, it would be much stiffer.

It is mechanical. This is the page from the service manual - 2016 Forzaedtheconfessor wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 6:30 pm It certainly feels like an electrical switch operating a solenoid. You can hear the solenoid kick. If it was pulling a cable, it would be much stiffer.

Re: Fuel opener/Seat Opener Switch
It appears the centering spring is in the switch. I will just have to jiggle the switch to get everything in alignment. No big deal.

Very sorry, the action is very precise for a cable operation. So sorry!
