Manual says 24k miles / 2 yrs.
Is changing final drive oil every 2 years really necessary on a bike that doesn't get a lot of miles? (eg. 2k miles per year)
Just realized mine hasn't been done in close to 4 years now. Should I go ahead and change it?

You’re not wrong, the rear end of a scooter, as long as the seals are good is under no real heat or compression, every time I change the oil it comes out looking exactly like it it was when I put it in. That being said, it’s so easy, I change it every year or so while I’m doing other oil changes.

one of the oil's enemies is air (oxygen) even having run a little, the oil loses lubricating power, your pcx change has one. cost of 2/3€ if that.. it is easy to exchange. I don't see the reason not to change it from year to year or at the indicated mileage.
