Dropped the Bugger
Had a cracking 250 mile ride into the lake district and did 3 off the mountain passes. Had a cracking day out on her and passed the 4k miles mark and her too. Got home parked her on side stand and 20 seconds later i heard the noise no one wants to hear......... came off the stand and landed on the bloody front step. Didnt really do any damage. Just knocked off the pcx badge and scratched the paint. Going to try and get the paint matched at work tomorrow and dust it in this week

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Don’t try to make paint repairs on a scooter, the already painted replacement is super cheap, replace the panel.

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Main Individual panels here cost about £60-70 + shipping having searched google, may be able to get them cheaper but not by much. Whole sets cost upwards of £300-390.

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Yeh ive not priced up a replacment from honda but I restore classic and pre war cars for a living so should be easy to dust over at work if I can get paint mixed up. Going to price up new panel and a new badge tomorrow. Phoned local dealers for 4k service today and they want £175 for it. Next dealers 50 miles away and only wants £105 so that will be a canny ride out too

So....
The emblem is available to order in at £28.75 excluding VAT. The LH cover (supplied with emblem) is available to order in at £135.28 ex VAT
No ones is listing paint for it so I'm currently trying to get some made through work and haven't got a price for that yet

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Even before BRexit and current world issues, the UK has always been a rip-off country. I ordered lots of parts from abroad and even with 2 week delivery it cost less than a 3rd if I bought them here - and companies buy in bulk!

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Honestly its a joke for vehicle parts in general in the UK. So our 3 suppliers at work will have to make the paint using the spectrum machine which can be hit and miss sometimes as no one seams to list paint for the R-368C paint code. I've found a company in Lithuania that does make paint so I've bought 50ml for £12 and they have assured me it will be spot on.... time always tells. Then plan is to fill the scratches with fine filler sand it to 2000 grit and blend it in the clear coat the whole panel. Cant find the chrome decals anywhere else so going to bite the bullet and get that off honda as it needs a new brake leaver I discovered at 5am when I got on to ride it. Tucano hand guards kept it out off sight and its bent but works.

Re: Dropped the Bugger
New brake lever and decals arrived. Still waiting for paint which is good as the tucano urbano straps come lose and worn all the paint off too.....

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Oh wow! I will have to keep a close eye on my Tucano and make sure it's not eating my paint too. I feel like the way that the forward strap is rigged on yours is different than mine. I will have to take a look.

Re: Dropped the Bugger
Managed to get it all touched in for now. Cant see the one off the tucano urbano as its under the cover and the one on the seat is mostly behind the badge too

Re: Dropped the Bugger
I feel your pain. When I first got my Silverwing I never thought about using a parking brake. Had parked in drive, thought I heard trunk lid rattle. Put down sidestand & got off bike. Turned around just in time to see Wing roll off stand & fall on its side. Is a stone drive. Bike got some deep scratches. Used a razor blade to level out scratches & touched up. Lesson learned, always use parking brake on side stand. To top it off, trunk lid was closed.
