Re: Fuel fill door works intermittently
Once the door is open you should be able to see a latch holding device just under the plastic. Try some WD-40 on it. Sometimes that works. I have had to take my tunnel cover off a few times and clean the mechanism. Also, carry something small with you to help pry it open when it doesn't release. I carry a pocket knife. It just needs a little help sometimes. Remember, it is a mechanical device, operated by a cable, not an electronic device.

Jiggle the key as you press the button, sometimes the seat/fuel switch doesn't unlock properly.

Tap the fuel flap at the same time as operating the switch, my 2018 model does this, tried cleaning/lubricating but can be embarrassing at the pumps if it sticks. One of the few cheap and nasty things I’ve found with mine.

Something flexible, like a "wire tie" will slide under the cover and depress the release lever just enough to release the cover. Is there some way to adjust the cable?

Not sure if you are in the US, but a new lock mechanism (LOCK ASSY., FUEL LID 64440-K35-V00) is only $3.72 on PartZilla if you find that you need a new one.

Re: Fuel fill door works intermittently
The fuel door not opening when you press the rocker switch is not necessarily a problem with the latch proper. It's a problem with interference between the latch hole on the door and the mating piece it goes into. Press and hold the rocker switch and push the door closed several times and note where it binds at the latch receptacle. When the plastic warms up and expands it gets worse. Just take a mill file and file off a bit of the plastic where my finger is pointing at the hole in the door where the latch loop goes into, so it doesn't bind, and it will open every time. This is on a 2021, but it's the same as the earlier ones.
