Re: New Battery
4 years old, still cranks like new….very satisfied, 2x the power of stock batt…..1/2 the weight of stock batt….. this is the size of the stock 150 batt
Only disadvantages are the cost and need for special charger if you are storing for months in cold weather. I don’t have that problem with Fla. If you take the battery out for winter storage, it does not need to be charged if you keep it inside.

Re: New Battery
I can’t edit so I’ll just add this, in rereading my post, it is much smaller- about half the size of the PCX battery- but fits perfectly because they give you extra pieces of hard foam to make up the difference.

Re: New Battery
I tend to disagree. Lithium is not for me. If you forget to leave them on charge and they go totally flat it is nearly impossible to bring them back, PLUS the initial cost. I buy inexpensive AGM batteries for both my scooters and use them for 2-3 years max then replace them, much cheaper in the long run. Also I have several battery chargers and maintainers and have no desire to buy yet another one (lithium specific).
A friend bought an expensive lithium for his BMW. But he neglected to leave it on a maintainer last winter and had to replace it this spring. I talked him into getting an AGM this time so at least if he forgets again it will be less costly to replace LOL. Good luck.

Re: New Battery
I guess it all depends on how you’re going to use the battery. My brother has a forza 300 in Philadelphia and his lithium is going on 3 years also with no problems. He doesn’t own a lithium charger, Nor charges it with anything else.. He brings his battery inside during the winter, and just sits it on the shelf, and then installs it in the spring and uses the bike several times a week. So the lithiums can be a lot less finicky depending on how you use them. Main advantage for me is the battery weighs half as much, so you eliminate that weight, and the higher cranking power is very perceptible…

Re: New Battery
Excellent video, I really like this guy, I’ve seen other vids he’s done. My only comment is he used a rather small lithium for the comparison and said it cost $150….the batt above I linked to is 14A/HR, 210 CCA for $150 which is almost twice the CCA of the stock PCX battery.

Re: New Battery
This is the battery I use in my scooters:

210 CCA too! For me removing the Forza battery is a royal pain so I choose NOT to do it each winter. Battery maintainer pigtail and hook it up for the winter! Good luck and use what YOU feel comfortable with!

Re: New Battery
My original 2014 PCX battery is still working fine - bike starts first time and is kept outdoors all year round.
Used 15 days/month on average and not used for 10 days every January and sometimes left 2-3 weeks in the summer every 2 years (over-seas holiday). That's 8 years old + time in storage before the bike was sold.
I appreciate Lithium batteries charged out of bike need special chargers due to their differences, but strange they seem to work on bikes that were not designed for anything other than AGM.
btw - 1st time editing this post I got a 'your IP has been blacklisted message!' < had to cancel and join the forum again.
